Louis Mendez, Jr. is a CPA and the Principal Owner of the firm, located near Miami Lakes, Florida. Lou as been practicing public accounting since 1982. He graduated from Pace University in New York City and has a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting. He is licensed to practice in New York and Florida.

Prior to opening his firm in 1991, he was a manager at Coopers & Lybrand (one of the Big Four accounting firms in the U.S.), where he worked for nine years in their tax and audit departments.

Lou has over 29 years of tax and audit experience in various areas, including consolidated corporations, S corporations, LLC, Partnerships, Individuals, high net worth clients, 401(k) Pension Plan audits, accounting of financial conditions of companies. Industries include airline cargo, airline maintenance, floral, real estate, nonprofits, etc.

Maria T. Garcia is the office manager / accountant. Maria has been working as a bookkeeper/accountant since 1975.

Prior to joining the firm, she was employed by various corporate entities as a bookkeeper/ accounting assistant in private and public accounting.

Maria has over 35 years of experience in office management and general accounting functions

Joanny Lorie is an accountant at the firm. She has been practicing public accounting since 2000. She graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Accounting and received her Masters of Science in Taxation from Florida International University in 2002.

Prior to joining the firm, she was employed by Freeman, Buczyner & Gero CPAs and Mendive & Associates CPAs as a staff accountant. She was also employed by Moore Stephens Lovelace, PA as an accountant for the healthcare department.

Joanny has experience in the preparation of returns for consolidated corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts and Charitable Organizations. In addition, she handles research matters to meet tax compliance for individual and corporate tax reporting. Finally, she provides clients with accounting services for their monthly, quarterly and year-end transactions.

Vivian M. Mendez is a supervisor at the firm. Vivian who is Lou's sister-in-law has been practicing public accounting since 1991. She graduated from Barry University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and received her Masters of Accounting from Nova University in 1995.

Prior to joining the firm, she was employed for 4 years by Price Waterhouse where she worked in the tax department.

Vivian has over 20 years of experience in preparation of returns for consolidated corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts& Various State Entities. She also handles research and analysis of tax laws, regulations and rulings, performs compilations of financial statements.

Prior to joining the firm, he was employed by Coopers & Lybrand a big six accounting firm where he worked in the auditing and tax departments as a senior accountant for 6 years. Michael joined the firm in 1991 as the firm's manager responsible for performing all controllership duties for the firm's corporate clients and its subsidiaries.

Michael has over 20 years of experience in reviewing federal and state tax returns for consolidated corporations, partnerships, individual and trusts. His controllership tasks include: oversight of accounts payable and receivables departments, preparation of interim and annual financial statements, monitoring compliance with debt covenants covering the companies operating-capital and construction loans.
